“Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.  Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me”.

Reflection:

It was at Jesus' last supper, on the night before He died, that Jesus instituted the Eucharist (Holy Communion).  This painting is a prayer to God to help us to try to understand better how receiving Holy Communion brings about a change in us – in accordance with Jesus’ own words  “… so whoever eats me will live because of me”.

Prayer: 

Lord God, we know that the Eucharist is a precious gift to us, enlighten our minds to the fullness of your gift.  Amen.
