Reflection: 

It must have been a great surprise to Mary when the Angel Gabriel came from God to give Mary the message about God’s plan for the birth of Jesus, His son.

Prayer: 

Mary, mother of God, we ask you to pray to the Lord for all mothers and fathers, that they bring up their children in the love and awe of the Lord.  Amen.
