“We love because he first loved us.”

Reflection:

God is our loving Father.  He loves us with an everlasting and unconditional love.  He delights in us, we are as the “apple of His eye”.  God showed us this great love when He sent His only beloved Son, Jesus, to be our Saviour and Redeemer.  Jesus willingly laid down his life for us so that we could be saved.

Prayer:

Thank you Jesus for loving me so much that you were willing to lay down your life for me by your death on the cross.  By your death and resurrection you have made it possible for me to reach my eternal home in heaven when I die.  Amen.
