Be still before the Lord

Be still before the Lord

Bible reference:

Psalm 37:7

“Be still before the LORD, and wait patiently for him."

Reflection:

Sometimes we just need to bring ourselves before the LORD peacefully and in a state of quiet expectation.  We don’t need to say, think or do anything else except to be still, quieten our minds and make space in our hearts and minds to listen to the LORD speaking to us.  If all we can hear is silence, that too is good.  The LORD is God and He is good and He will do things in His own way and in His own time, which is not our time.

Prayer:

I bring myself before you Lord.  I ask you to quieten my mind, my heart and my spirit so that I can be still in your presence.  Amen.
