Reflection: 

Mary is the mother of Jesus.  She is honoured but not worshipped.  Only God is worshipped and adored.  When Jesus was dying on the cross he told his disciple John “Here is your mother”, and to Mary he said “Here is your son”.  Because of what Jesus said, the Church teaches us to turn to Mary as our own mother too.

Prayer: 

Mary, in this picture you are showing us your loving heart and reminding us that you love us. As Jesus’ mother we ask you to help us live good lives and we thank you for your mother’s love to us.  Amen.
