Good Friday

Good Friday

Bible reference:

John 3: 16

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life”.

Reflection:

Good Friday is the name of the Friday before Easter Sunday.  On this day the Church commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. The day is called “Good” because by Jesus’ suffering and dying for us, Jesus has made it possible for each one of us to be saved and to live with God in happiness for all eternity when we die.

Prayer:

Thank you Father for giving us your Son Jesus Christ.  We know You love Jesus very much (you called him “my beloved Son” at Jesus’ baptism).  We thank you with our whole heart for the sacrifice that Jesus has made for us.
